First up: what we made in kitchen class this week! Unfortunately, the banana rocket photo won't load :( We also made peanut butter and banana sandwiches, but we don't need to see a picture of that, right?
Fruit kabobs..? Maybe.
Fruit faces!
Everyday we have lunch delivered to school. Most of the time it's edible.
Mashed potatoes and chicken.
Potatoes and more chicken..
Coleslaw
More chicken
Rice
Rice, mushrooms, and chicken. NOT GOOD. It smelt like crap and tasted worse. This is the first time I've rejected lunch.
Tomato and cucumber salad.
Next we have things that Audrey and I have bought:
Audrey and I went to the store for breakfast on our way to school. We ended up buying 2.5 loaves of bread, 2 yogurts, and 2 bars of chocolate. For only $5. Score.
Yes, we're still buying juice to try.. Here we have banana which tasted like banana candies. Carrot apple has officially been the worst juice we have tasted. We gave it to the kids during kitchen.. They loved it. And the last is plum which was amazing!
This is the ham we buy for sandwiches..
..and this is the bread! We bought two loaves and this was the result 5 minutes after we made it home. It is seriously delicious.
Garlic bread. Best ever. Enough said. We couldnt even wait to take a picture of it before we ate half of it. Sorry :)
Cookie pretzel things. Yum yum.
These are our favorite cookies so far. We had some like this in Switzerland and we loved them so we knew we had to get them. It's soft gingerbread covered in chocolate.
Uh? We thought it was kiwi flavored granola, but its just plain oats.
Candy! Chocolate and honey flavored.
BEST CORN FLAKES IN THE WORLD.
Our instant coffee. Tastes like acid so we add milk and sugar and drink fast.
Canned pineapple I used in kitchen.
We thought these would be yummy pastries with chocolate. They weren't. They were moist and had weird jelly in the middle. They were really nasty.
Now we have the food we've found in our host family's kitchen. There was a lot more that we couldn't get pictures of fast enough! :
This is meat and bread stuff. It looks really good, but smells like cat food.
We found a random half-eaten sandwich on the table.
Homemade honey
?
Onions.
Potatoes.
Vodka aisle.
Im really loving ur pics and stories! keep 'em coming!

ReplyDeleteso how much did the ham really cost?
The vodka isle reminds me of the chocolate isle in Migros..........mmm. BTW, my friend from Swiss school's sister is on exchange in Toronto, but she went back to CH for the winter break and brought me back co-op -.35CHF chocolate bars and Migros Stark Kaugummi. Send me your address in Kiev and I'll send you some ;)
