First of all, the holiday is all about women. We get showered with cookies, flowers and gifts! This is definitely a tradition that we need to bring back with us. The holiday falls on March 8th every year, but since we are on vacation for part of the week next week, people decided to thank us for being women a little earlier. Audrey and I were unaware of this until we were given flowers by our kid's parents after class on Friday.
They are so pretty and they smell just freaking amazing! We didn't have any vases, but we figured out what to do anyway:
Milk bottles work just as well. Even if they look just a little tacky. The flowers look a bit wilted in this picture, but we had just put them in water and they look much healthier now :)
The other girls that we work with teach in the afternoon and they made quite a killing this year. They got cakes (as in plural) and tons of chocolate. Yeah, well we also got..
Oranges. So HA!
Who needs chocolate anyway?
Happy Women's Day to all the amazing women I know! This is not a day for dieting (unless you get oranges) so let loose on March 8th!

Silly girls, Women's Day is a big thing unless you live in the USA. here it is called International Women's Day (obviously). check it out on internet. remember the date!
