- birthday parties for our kids
- Spoons
- power outages
- crap loads of cake
- being organized (4 out of 5 days is still pretty good..)
- giving the kids juice you didn't like
- kids loving the fact that you gave them juice
- the weather
- being amazing when the program director decides to visit and watch you teach
The other side of awesomeness, it also happens.
Things that are awkward:
- having the program director visit and watch you teach..
- belt buckles not being buckled
- putting a cookie in your mouth after your host sibling already sucked all the sugar off
- the kitchen smelling like pickles for a week
- head wounds
- walking in on the cleaning lady cleaning the school in her bra
- being more embarassed about the situation than the cleaning lady seemed to be
- being given flowers by people you don't know
- running out of laundry detergant "We can still wash them without soap.." "our host mom is going to think we're stupid." "Well if that's what you're worried about then it's a little too late."
