Prague is basically the best place on Earth. Which is why it’s going to take up three posts.
We arrived in Prague pretty late in the evening and went straight to our hotel. The rooms were really nice- two bedrooms/a living room, a shower room, and a bathroom. Audrey and I shared one room with two beds in it. It looked like this, and that blob is Audrey:
She must’ve been tired.
We were really excited to have a stand up shower again while staying in these hotels, but, just our luck, ours was broken and we had to hold it up just like at home.
We woke up the next morning ready to get out and explore on our own. The breakfast was the same every single morning- bread, meat, cheese, and rice.
We had the same thing for all four mornings we woke up in Prague. Rice, salami, ham (?), cheese, and a croissant.
Occasionally, croissants followed us back up to our room. It’s almost as if they wanted us to have a free snack for later.
The first task we had to accomplish was getting on a bus to get us downtown.
We found the bus stop.
We stood awkwardly in front of it.
We saw the bus coming.
We tried to get on the bus.
We got scared and jumped off the bus.
We stood at the bus stop and watched the bus drive away.
Um, fail? Yes.
Then we figured out we had to pay for the bus so we walked over to the little kiosk type of thing and tried to talk to the woman selling bus tickets. We couldn’t understand anything so we just gave her money and she gave us what we needed and our change. She must have been through this situation before. Smart lady.
Then we got on the bus. Yes, we got on and stayed on and we made our way to the train station where we stood awkwardly at the counter trying to figure out how to buy a ticket.
Blah, blah, blah, and a dollar later and we were on the train. The trains are so much nicer than in Kiev. They resemble the trains in Switzerland more and we were all very happy.
On a side note, the trams there were pretty cute, too.
The first sight we found was Charles bridge.
And then we walked more and found a bunch of fun stuff. Enjoy :)
This was an awesome tour bike we spotted. It had 5 seats on it and all you had to do was pedal and the driver would weave in and out of traffic. We didn't have the guts.
After wandering for a while, we found a cute market. It had tons of souvenirs and fresh fruit. We had some amazing strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries.
When a starbucks is within reach for the first time in 2.5 months, you make frequent stops. Every day. For four days. This was the closest anyone in Europe has been to getting my name right. Congrats.
once again, divert your attention to my FB pictures. Maaaaany of your pics are the same as mine. I think I have the same picture of that dead tree thing.
